With Halloween just around the corner, I'll be posting more ideas about decorating and making this Halloween fun as it should be.

I'll scour the Internet for unique and family-friendly Halloween items, costume and party ideas so that you can celebrate this as a fun time, and not so much a scary time.

If you're looking for "frightful" or "spooky" ideas, you may have to search at another web spot, B/C we're going to keep it very safe, yet cool here.

This site is for you if your version of having a happy Halloween means getting dressed up and having a chance to pretend to be someone else for a few hours....sort of like being in a play.

All very lighthearted fun.

And if you consider that a fun party time includes such things as themed treat bags, orange-colored juice, spider cookies and stuff like that, then we are with you!

Nothing that would scare a kid.

We like to enjoy the dress-up and get together time, and not get heavy about "hidden" or so-called "true meaning" of Halloween.

So whether you just plan on finding a costume for going out trick-or-treating, or if you are planning a full-blown party for your friends, family and/or neighbors (or even if you have volunteered to help at school with the class party,) you can be sure to find something that interests you, right here.

If you'd like to comment about your "Halloween" feelings, leave your message right below. Thanks!

Does anyone besides myself consider dog costumes a decoration (sort of)? Well if you love the thought of having dear pooch ready for Halloween, you might want to visit http://Halloween-costumes-for-dogs.blogspot.com/ I did, and there is a lot to explore. It almost makes me want another dog...just so I can dress him or her up, along with the family (yes, we ALL dress-up for this fun fall holiday).

And speaking of the Halloween holiday, there is a never-ending, totally bottomless pool of craft ideas around.

For example, have you ever seen a wooden pumpkin totem-pole? Or a Spanish-speaking Dracula (who serves orange-colored nacho chips and mango salsa, like a fake waiter), at your Halloween party? Or what about a giant leaf wreath for your front door?--You've seen those before you say? Well did it sparkle with orange and yellow Halloween lights and give off a heavy scent of very spicy pumpkin pie that made you want to pull it off the door and EAT it??? Just asking....

Anyway, here's to the start of a wonderful fall season. And may you make sweet memories as you put together those homemade crafts and complete those projects. Come back tomorrow 'cause I'll have some unique Halloween craft ideas to share with you, for sure!

When it comes to making Halloween crafts, you want to prepare your workspace area ahead of time. Clear off that spare room desk or back porch table. Gather all of your craft supplies within arm's reach to make it easy to get what you need, when you need it. Like doing a puzzle, try and have a picture in front of you showing what the completed project should look like.

And here's an idea...Think of something about your project that can be spiced-up to capture more of that fall or Halloween theme. Like adding little pumpkins or using some of those rich Autumn colors here and there. The changing leaves of the fall season should give you quite a spectrum of color to work with. You can even buy some inexpensive "extra's" from yard sales and thrift stores.

Then finally, how about being prepared for some of those messy surprises by having some paper towels or old rags; and a dustpan and broom nearby. If something spills or breaks, you'll be ready to sweep up messes and soak up spills right away.

So put a little forethought into your Halloween craft or fall projects, and watch your fun factor explode.

Welcome everyone! If you're looking for a fun place to get some great fall and Halloween craft and project ideas, then you've come to the right place. I will scour the internet to bring you the best resources for craft ideas and where to get supplies; fall and Halloween-related books and articles; and pumpkin patterns for those of you who love to carve a great pumpkin! With all of the vibrant colors of the Fall, you're sure to discover a unique idea for decorating and celebrating the fall season. So check back often and see what craft "treats" are in store for you!
